Sonya from Morayfield contacted Salt 106.5 hoping this Mates Month we could help her friend, a young mum, who was days away from giving birth to her second child and in desperate need of support sourcing essential baby supplies.
“She’s just finding it really hard to get some last minute things for the baby, so I think it would just help her so enormously,” Sonya said.
Salt 106.5’s Steve D said it was getting “a little too close for comfort”.
“Well, you know what? There may well be somebody listening right now who could come on board and organise a pram or a car capsule for Destiny.”

Kelly from Sonder Espresso in Birtinya heard the call for help and came to the rescue with the gift of a brand new pram and Sonya was overwhelmed by the generosity!
“That is so wonderful,” Sonya told Steve D on-air.
