Listen: Grahame Lloyd, Marine Debris Co-Ordinator for Sea Shepherd on the Sunshine Coast, on why our beaches need our help.

An increasing amount of plastic is entering the ocean and killing marine life at alarming rates. Sea Shepard’s beach clean up’s reduce this problem, by removing trash from beaches and important marine animal habitat, stopping it from ever entering the ocean.

Grahame Lloyd, the Marine Debris Co-Ordinator for Sea Shepherd on the Sunshine Coast, joins Mornings with Fee to chat about the Coolum Beach Clean Up happening on October 24th.

Over the coming months, Sea Shepherd is hosting 13 beach and river clean-ups across South East Queensland, as part of the Waves of Change Project and you’re invited to get involved too. Come along to Tickle Park on David Low Way Coolum on Sunday the 24th of October from 8am till 11am and be a part of the Marine Debris Clean Up on Coolum Beach.
