The Sunshine Coast is about to get a brand-new morning vibe, as Nathan “Nato” Sauer steps into weekday mornings on Salt 106.5 while Jordana is on maternity leave.

Key points:

  • Welcome to weekday mornings, Nato!
  • Nato’s mission is to help start your day with hope, faith, and a reminder that you are loved.
  • Listen to The Morning Wake-up with Nato Monday to Friday, 6am-10am!

If you’ve tuned in on Sundays, you may already know Nato’s warm voice and love for connection. But now, he’s bringing that same joy and encouragement to your weekdays.

Nato has called the Sunshine Coast home for nearly 15 years. He first arrived as a YWAM missionary, leading young people on cross-cultural missions. That passion for people and community never left him.

Later, Nato helped start a local coffee and surf shop that quickly became a beacon of light on the Coast. His love for coffee and connection grew, and almost a decade ago, he opened his own café.

Now, instead of pouring lattes, he’s pouring encouragement into your mornings.

When asked what he hopes listeners take away from his show, Nato said “I hope listeners will be inspired and encouraged to be their authentic, true selves.

“I hope they go away more joyful and hope filled each and every morning.”

That’s his mission — to start your day with hope, faith, and a reminder that you are loved.

Nato’s mission is to help start your day with hope, faith, and a reminder that you are loved.

After years of working Sundays in hospitality and radio, Nato is excited to embrace a new rhythm.

“This is a new one for us. I’ve never really had a weekend. I’m just excited to have a weekend to relax, recharge and have some quality family time. But definitely church on Sunday mornings.”

No surprises here — Nato’s favourite spot on the Coast is the ocean. Wherever the waves are best, that’s where you’ll find him.

And early mornings? There’s only one way to get through them. “Coffee, with a side of coffee,” Nato laughs.

As he begins this new chapter, Nato is open about where he finds strength: prayer.

“I would love prayer to be bold and to be the light of Jesus every day.”

We’re excited to wake up with you on Salt 106.5.
