What is Pentecost?

Pentecost in the bible can be found in Acts 2: 1-13 and marks the coming of the Holy Spirit.

Pentecost, also called Whitsunday, is a major festival in many Christian church, celebrated on the Sunday that falls on the 50th day after Easter. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ, and it marks the beginning of the Christian church’s mission to the world.
