It’s Freely Given – But What Is ‘It’, Actually?

What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. 1 CORINTHIANS 2:12 (NIV)

Be honest – when you read this verse, do you pause for a moment and wonder what exactly has God freely given us?

Salvation may come to mind first, along with forgiveness and eternal life.

But beyond that we might have to stop and think. And that’s okay!

Let’s take the opportunity to reflect, to slow down, and to truly grasp the depth of God’s generosity and the work that He has done in our lives.

The Holy Spirit is our divine helper, our encourager, and the seal that marks us as God’s own – protected, loved, and kept by Him.

One of the greatest gifts He has given us is His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit dwells within us, revealing His Word, guiding our steps, and comforting us in times of need.

His presence empowers us to walk in faith, to grow in wisdom, and to live out His calling on our lives with boldness and love.

But the Holy Spirit does more than dwell in us; He transforms us.

He works within our hearts, shaping us to reflect Christ, equipping us for His work, and filling us with spiritual gifts to serve others.
