“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10 NIV
Key points
  • Salvation in Jesus Christ impacts every realm of our lives – not just in the future reality of eternity’s glory but right here, right now.
  • Listen to ‘The Gospel According to the Gospels’ Real Hope series and others at Real Hope | The Podcast or wherever you get your podcasts.
  • Hear more from Ben McEachen in his brand-new podcast of the same name ‘The Gospel According to the Gospels’, where he expands even further on these themes.

As we focus upon The Gospel of Jesus Christ, I hope your faith is celebrating.

Although it can be daunting or challenging to wrestle with the many facets of the good news, the benefits are so worth it.

From greater dependence on God to enhanced joy in the Lord Jesus, getting into The Gospel is not meant to be like cramming for a test.

Grasping more of the good news is the stuff of abundant life, as John Griffiths shared in the Luke episode of The Gospel According to the Gospels podcast.

John is a Biblical Studies lecturer and Diploma of Leadership and Ministry program director at Alphacrucis College, Sydney.

Far from only having spiritual effects, John emphasised that salvation in Jesus Christ impacts every realm of our lives.

Salvation in Jesus Christ impacts every realm of our lives – not just in the future reality of eternity’s glory but right here, right now.

That’s right! Not just in the future reality of eternity’s glory but right here, right now.

Walking in the footsteps of Jesus extends across the physical to the social, economic to political.

Whatever you do, wherever you go, The Gospel defines us.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Jesus said this to Zacchaeus, a guy known throughout Sunday Schools as a cheat who changed his ways.

Having been found by Jesus, the lost Zacchaeus seemed instantly to discover how The Gospel transforms.

My reaction and your reaction to being saved might not be the same as Zacchaeus.

But what is our reaction?

Because there’s got to be one.

How can we not want to totally respond to such good news?

When you do an audit of your own life, are all parts shaped by The Gospel?

Seek the Holy Spirit’s help to hand over everything for full Gospel impact.
