As the years go by, life can very easily fall into monotony and routine. What was once exciting can become boring, especially under the stress of life.
“Make each other laugh,” relationship expert and neuropsychotherapist Joanne Wilson says. “That’s what it should all be about! Your partner is a gift to you, so why not amp things up and get creative.”
Here are Joanne’s top five tips to having fun and adding silliness into your relationship.
1. Paint and sip
Attend a group class (or get set up at home) with a beverage and a few snacks. Paint images of each other on canvas. There’s no such thing as bad art!
2. Goofy challenge
Challenge each other to do something crazy. Perhaps to record yourselves doing random acts of kindness for five strangers, to make a sandwich without hands, or even a blind fold taste test!
3. Prank eachother
Confetti busters can be a fun surprise – please, no heart attacks though! Social media is a great place to find ideas.
4. Terms of endearment
Terms of endearment and inside jokes are a great way to get silly together. Retelling the stories of that time when...
5. Impersonation party
Challenge yourselves to talk like Barry White or a Muppet for a day, or whoever takes your fancy!
Most importantly, get creative and have fun with these wacky ideas, getting silly in your relationship!
