Noosa Festival of Surfing

Registrations are now open for the Noosa Festival of Surfing from Saturday February 22 – Sunday March 1, 2020. Click Here to sign up.

Every year you can see more types of surfing in Noosa than you ever thought possible. Dogs hanging ten, pro longboarders and tandem surfers can be seen hitting the water for the Noosa Festival of Surfing, the biggest surfing event in the world by competitor numbers. More than 800 entrants from 15 countries converge on the waves at First Point, cheered by crowds watching from the festival village right in front of the break.

Longboards, finless, bodysurfing and tandem – each style of surfing is showcased over nine days, with plenty of action in and out of the water. Whether you’re a junior, senior, or in-between, you can compete in the Noosa Festival of Surfing. With an under 15’s section and an over 70’s section, age is no excuse for not getting up on a board and trying your best. And there’s plenty for spectators to do as well with live music, movies and activities for the whole family.

This event is all about respecting the sand and the waves. Set in one of the few World Surfing Reserves, festival organisers are working hard to implement sustainability initiatives, including becoming plastic-free and hosting sustainability workshops.

Space is limited and we want you to be part of the Festival, so sign up today. The Festival will take place from Saturday February 22 – Sunday March 1, 2020!  It’ll be for another 9 Days of beautiful waves, boards, beaches and surfing!
